1) Only people from 'Serious about reviews' may enter.
2) Sorry to have to do this, but because we have underage writer's as group members we, Greg and I, must prohibit erotic author's. If you do find an author that only has one or two stories with adult content that would be fine, as long as there are a few that the younger members could read.
3) The choice must be a member for over TWO months, with a minimum of FIVE stories, with less then SEVEN comments on EACH story.
4) On the contest page state your name as title.
5)As the body of work have the name and link to that person's page.

After a period of SEVEN days the contest will close. voting can them begin. When you have time, visit each author nominated. Read a story or two and comment. When you've gone through the list, come back to the groups homepage and post your choice on the appropiate topic http://storywrite.com/board/topic/3779
When all votes have been cast Greg and I will go through them. We will breadk any ties. I will then ask that author if they would like to jion out 'little country club',as, I think it was Yoshi, stated.
The group member that had suggested the writer, wins gold. If there is more then one member who has recommended the winning writer, the gold will go to the first person who entered that writer. Silver will go to the second and so forth.
One last thing, if you could please state that you are parpiciating in this contest by putting a comment in the comment box at the bottom of this contest. This was Greg and I will know who to wait for when waiting for votes.
You also don't have to put in an author to vote.
Ok now get to scouring. I want every corner looked at, every high shelf searched, every nook and crannie peered into. Find me a unknown, under appreciated, truly talented writer.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but I'm glad that you will still be in the group. I just felt like there needed to be a guideline as to the members. If they just joined yesterday, then that wouldn't really be fair for the others that had been on longer. If you think there is a better way, please let me know and we can do that the next time.

As this is our first try at this, I suspect we will learn much and the next wil be better.
For those in the group, remember, it is NOT the person who finds an under read author that earns the prize. (edit - they win a prize from my re-read, but not the trophy).
For those group members who have some spare time, we ask you to help us find some under read authors (according to the rules above).
Then, We (the members of the group) will choose the under read author most deserving of more comments.
Then, finally, the group will contact the author and explain the final phase of the contest, where we prvode the reviews and allow the writer to choose which reviewer helped the most.
As such, there are many places to get involved in this, but the one we need most from all is the final reviewing process, which wuld involve - at the least - reading one story and providing the best review one can muster.
So, please, do not feel overwhelmed by all of this, as we have volunteers willing to do the brute work.
The most important partof this all - and the main function of this contest - is to allow an otherwise unrecognized author a chance to get recognition, and for us in the group to become better with our reviews.
We all have our day to day things to do, and some ofus have severely limited time. To them, I say. real life comes first, and we should always understand. I know I do, and think highly of EVERYONE in our group.
So I don't want anyone seeing this contest as some sort of seperation, or lessening of anyone's self-worth. If you are in your group - you belong - regardless free time you can give.
I'm not certain I answered all background questions from everyone on that, but I wanted to clear the air, as I was afraid some might have seen this contest as asking everyone to be fulltime reviewers with no time for real life, and this is further from the case.
Again, I see you all as my newly found brothers and sisters, and I hope we can learn from this first contest and learn to make it into a tool to help under read authors, and ourselves. : -

Well, you can either go find an under read author from anywhere on storywrite and enter their name into the contest under "new story", or you can wait until there are more entries and then vote for which one we all will help by commenting on a bunch of their stuff.

I don't know much about this author....take a look...she's been here over a year and has 51 stories and complete novels up. None of her stories have more than 7--a few look like they might, but it was just her writing back...most of her stories have 1 or 0 comments. I took a look and it isn't because her writing is bad ;-)
So, if you can't find someone you could check her out as I've already nominated someone! (And of course, I want no credit or anything!!)
