Can You Feel The Love?

Okay, another contest!!!

In case you haven't noticed, I'm a HUGE romance fan...So the options! (Yes, they are cliche, but just go along...)

1. Write about a an abusive relationship (Preferably a happy ending, but I like sad endings too).

2. Write about a teen romance.

3. Write about a forbidden love (They end up together or not, it doesn't really matter).

4. Write a soap opera (Big brownie points if you do this one).

5. Write about a love that is tested in an unusual way.

6. Three's a crowd. You know, a love triangle.

7. Put a twist on a classic fairytale.

8. Write a real life fairytale (that we all dream about happening).

9. Write about two friends reuniting somehow and falling in love.

10. Write about your own love story. Yes, YOURS.

11. Write about falling in love with your favorite celebrity.

12. Define love.

13. Write about a short and perhaps, perhaps not meaningless fling.

14. Write about pure love.

15. Write about infatuation.

16. Write about two used to be lovers whose past catches up with them.

17. Write a Nicholas Sparks or Sandra Brown Fan-Fiction.

Those are the options for now, I might add more. If you have a story idea that follows the rules, message me and I might make an exception.

The Rules:

1. Do NOT list your writing under any adult catergories. This includes Adult, Adult Humor, Erotica and Abuse. I am only 13 .

2. Stories, poems, and songs are all welcome.

3. Keep your writing realistic and keep it under the romance/love catergory.

4. No futuristic/fantastic things or characters. (Sorry fantasy/Scifi writers. If you think yours is good enough, again Message me. I might make an exception.)

5. No gay/lesbian stories

6. No word limits, but please keep poems reasonably short and long stories better get me and keep me hooked.

7. You may hint erotica, but make it like a Julia Roberts love scene in the movies (Ex. The were kissing passionately, time passes and they wake up in the morning to find that they are undressed. Maybe a LITTLE more detail, but something like that).

8. NO PROFANITY . There are other words to use if you want to show that a character is mad, frustrated, or whatever.

9. Try your best at spelling/grammar

10. No sticky caps.

11. Write intelligently

12. Tell me what option you picked in your author's notes. If you picked option 17, tell me what author and what book your re-writing.

13. Make the background/font combination easy to read. I can not judge your work if I can not read it.

14. Comment on other pieces of writing in this contest, do not bash their work.

15. To tell me you read all the rules, tell me if you believe in fairytales the your author's notes.

18. Try your best and have fun!

P.S. I am usually not a harsh judge, but I WILL give honest feedback.

I have one that I've been working on (it would go along with option 5). If I can finish it in time I'll be sure to enter.

How long do you think you need to finish the story? I'd be happy to extend the contest for a LITTLE while if nessicary.

    Awesome!

I love romance stories aswell. I'm going to join a little later- Do you mind if its sorta long maybe 10k words? Because I really enjoy depths of a romance, just want to make sure beforehand though.

Thanks, this is a great contest! Also check mine out if you want

sorry, let me be more elabrate. Most judges prefer to give stories or poems awards that have not gotten any previously and most prefer New stories to prew-written ones. The question is: New stories are preffered or not?

Yes, I like something fresh, but as long as it follows the rules, it doen't really matter to me. There's also the times where I like something so much that I can read it numerous times, so basically, I can go either way.

Excuse me, but does the definition have to be your own? I mean, can you look on dictionary sites and in dictionaries to find the definition?
