The Great Debate

This contest will test your skills in the art of debate.

Below, you will find listed 5 topics up for debate in this contest. Each entrant will pick a topic, and whether they will write for or against the matter. So that makes 10 entries in total. To choose a topic, IM me with the topic and either for or against, so I can mark you down and your place is claimed. Please only IM me, dont leave a comment, only IM.

I will put one argument per topic through to the finalists list. I shall not be judging based on my own personal beliefs on the subject, merely on how well each debater put their point across. Use historical examples, real life impact etc. rather than personal feelings.

There will be a trophy for all the finalists, so the 'winner' of each topic will get a reward!

The word limit will be 500. This is a debate, not a novel writing exercise! Please avoid the use of cuss words, and obviously, this contest calls for none of the erotica business.
