Hello people!
OK, this is a contest with a difference......
I dont want you to write a story.
or a poem.
Basically, we are all here for the same reasons. We want to get better at writing. Input from people is vital to do this. We all need encouragement, ideas, suggestions and honest opinions from people.
What I want for this contest is simple. I want you all to go forth and search SW for someone you dont know, a complete stranger, whose words you have never read before. Then I want you to pick one of their stories, and comment on it. I want you to leave a great comment, something helpful, insightful, positive. Something that will make them feel great and enthused about their writing. If you find faults with the piece, or dont really like it, still try and say something nice, and be constructive. NO BASHING THEM FOR THEIR EFFORTS!!
Once you have commented, copy it and paste it here as your entry. Leave a link in your authors notes to the story you commented on, and I shall go read it and comment too! Just imagine how pleased they will be to get two comments out of the blue!
( YOu can also leave a link to your page if you want, and I will go and comment something of yours too!)
The winner here will be the one who leaves the comment that would most help, encourage and support a writer. And who knows? You may even end up finding a new friend too!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 14, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 200, Silver: 50, Bronze: 20
- Final notes: Thank you all for taking the time to enter this little contest! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed reading your great comments.
The winners were the comments that I thought would offer the most help and encouragement to the authors of the stories. They would leave the biggest smiles with the people who had received them like those!
I shall be back again in a day or two, to comment on the stories you guys commented on, and to read your stuff too!

Good job. You might want to add something more near the beginning that hints at her age because I did not know what to think. I mean it could have been a preteen, a older teen, or even a wife. / Also you might want to• Commented on by judge. [remove]

Wow, I loved the creative story you have constructed. The idea that two Gods of the exact opposite fought over the Fair Angel strikes me as original. Maybe that's just me. It may be a lesson to those that are "pure at heart".• Commented on by judge. [remove]

Nice idea, funny, I thought I'd go and click random and see what I got...first person, someone who I've read before and has read my stuff...second person, it was me! Oh well, I'll look around and come back.

-
wow! the odds of that happening are pretty slim! thats so funny! I hope you find a new person soon!

This, I think, is a very worthwhile idea. May I suggest authors who don't get a lot of comments anyway? Best encouragement in the world.

sport-gurl-101, on FantasyFreak14 Elven lullaby
awesome
It may be short but sounds like it comes from a true elven mom. It must sound beautiful when it is sung. P.S. it was really hard to rate this in SW categories.
