Oh my oh my.
Another of my contests.
...This time I'm gonna follow all of the SW rules
(Intro...you can skip this if you want
)
Since my last contest went down the SW tubes, this one is going to replace it. So the points I was using on that (and the ones I have left after my other contests and co-judged contests ((check them out!)) ) are going here!
Just a shout out to the people that have given me donations for this, thanks so much. And anyone who'd like to make a donation please message me with one of your stories you’d like read and I will read it in return
The smallest contributions help!!!
If you weren't reading that, start reading now
Now for the new contest!
What I have wanted a lot lately is poems. I loveeee GOOD poems. I am starting to write poems now, though I still have a long way to go before having anything good. So anyway I always admire a nicely written poem. I want some now.
Oh, the dreaded Rules:
1. No erotica. No erotica. No erotica. I have yet to figure how great a poem could be that's all erotica, but people on SW always surprise me.
2. Listen to me, darn it, if you categorize your poem adult or whatever, I CANNOT VIEW IT. Which means, in turn, you will NOT win, you will be DQ'ed. No one wants that, so don't do it!
3. I don't care how long it is, I do not care how short it is. If it is one freaking word, though, it better be a darn good one word. Just like if it's one thousand words, it better not be all stupid words. Kay? (That's not really a rule but who cares??)
4. Don't enter this if it's not a good poem to YOU. I don't care if critiques would pick it apart, but it has to mean a good thing to you. That's why you have to tell me about why you wrote this poem in the author's notes. (I'll get to that later.)
5. Sucking up is a great thing.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it? I'm being so mean in this contest
How to enter this thing (basic structure of the entries also)
First off, you have gosh darn better read EVERYTHING on this page unless I say other wise. So read on:
• Read everything on this page! (Boy, that was in no way at all predictable
)
• You know how you enter a new story. So do it. Yes, you read that right, NO prewrites this contest!!! Yay me!!! I'm mean!!!
• Title the entry whatever you feel like titling it. Truthfully, I don't care if it says 'The Worst Poem Ever Written For This Weird Person's Contest,' as long as the poem is good and not stupid.
• Put your poem in the body, duh! (Hahahaha that sounded funny!)
• Now. For the fun part. For me, of course. Author's notes. You must write why you wrote this poem. I'll come back to this again later, but if it's not there, I'm not reading. Why you wrote this poem and what it means MUST be there.
• Author's notes again. Everyone loved my last contest, where I made you write about your favorite underwear.
That was great. but I'm not gonna be that mean this time. Instead, this time you must say one of the following:
Taylor Renee is a beautiful contest princess and I worship her. (
)
I love you Taylor!
Taylor is my sexy friend.
I hate Taylor.
or...I'm a ballerina.
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You may also customize this here, but if you do, you still must include something about either Taylor or ballerinas. You don't know who Taylor is and I will laugh at you and tell you she is your worst nightmare.
• The rest of that stuff I don't care about. But now you'll hit the submit button and WHALA!, you have entered my contest!
What I want for the entries, of course! :
o Poems, I think you have that much already. New stories, because everyone loves writing stuff for my contests
o The poems are to be about:
o Birthdays. I have no idea how you do that, but hopefully I'll get a few good poets to. Since my birthday is on the 24th, eight days away, I'm hoping to have at least 20 entries by then. Don't disappoint me, people!
o Friendships. I have a poem on that Best Friends Poem. SO I want you to write one. Um....remember, it doesn't have to be a certain length or anything. Just write
o Natuuuuuure. Love it. Write it. Now. Thanks. Nuff said here.
o Animals. Write me about animals!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
o Lovers. Remember, though, no erotica........
o Teenagers.
o Taylorthebeautiful. (I don't expect anything here, but I'd love it!
)
....You want to write poem about something else? TOO BAD! ...Just kidding
But you'll have to message me and ask me if your idea is okay....who knows, I may add it to the list!!!
Now the hard part.
The author's notes thing again. Don't know what I'm talking about? READ THIS WHOLE THING! GARSH!
Now. Poems are feelings expressed in words. So obviously when you write something it means a lot to you. Tell me about that. Tell me why you wrote it and what it means to you. Let me tell you the truth, now. This is basically picking the winners. Let's say your poems sucks. With a capital S. But you explain beautifully why you wrote it and why its a great poem. Convince me it IS a great poem, because of the meaning, not just the words. You can still win. ...Of course, if it’s a great poem and a great explanation, that speaks for itself.
I think that's all. You're thinking about time! I agree. Get to writing
Oh yeah, BLESS YOU FOR READING ALL THAT!
