NOTE TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE ENTERED/PLANNING TO ENTER
**I have not in any way, shape, or form forgotten about your entries. Yes, this contest has been
going
on
forever.
I will be reading all your lovely, and hopefully grammatically correct, stories during my WINTER BREAK, which will roll around December 20th.
This will be one of my top priorities (along with my other dinky 34 entries in my other contest You Think You Have What It Takes? )
So keep writing and/or enter my contests. =)
& yes, I have added on points.
So, there are a low number of entires, so I thought that I'd just change the contest period.
>>.More than 1 entry is allowed.
>>.Max word limit is 9500. No more than 50 extra.
>>.No min word limit.
>>.Poems and stories only.
>>.I will not read about sci-fi, naturo, or fan fic type stories.
>>.Grammar and spelling must be B+ or above.
>>.Make the story believable and realistic.
>>.To contradict what I said above, you may write about fairies, mermaids, elves, and vampires. Just limit the fighting to roughly 1/3 of your story if there is any, which I hope you don't *hint*.
>>.To clarify the confusion of reality and fantasy: unless it's fantasy that includes fairies, mermaids, and vampires, it HAS to be realistic. I won't have someone get in a plane crash and have his last words be "I want strawberry-kiwi juice."
>>.When I say fairies, mermaids, elves, or vampires, I only mean the four. No werewolves, no hulk man, no superkitty, no unicorns. Just those three.
>>.Names of your characters better be not to "eccentric" so to speak and they better not be close to one another [e.g. Jack, Jake, John, Joe, Jo all in one story]
>>.Time period of story must be 1950-2008
>>.NO BASHING ANYTHING OR ANYONE!
>>.I don't give a fuck if you cuss. But make it "professional" if that makes sense. Don't go *beep* every 4 words.
You're probably wondering what's the difference between this contest and my other one running...well, to be frank, I'm not sure. But, I'll definitely give you tips for getting that trophy [NOT APPLIED TO THE OTHER CONTEST]
*GLBT stories are welcomed.
*GLBT that break away from the normal GLBT stories get better-than-brownie-points brownie points.
*Romance between best friends
*Romance through internet only! They cannot meet.
*Romance. Haha. Love. Romance. Love. Write!
*Stories of runaways, rape victims, drug users, the abused, and those types will get brownies.
*If you use one of these songs as a plot, brownies!:
>< Working Class Hero [Performed by Green Day]
>< If Everyone Cared [Nickelback]
>< Youth of a Nation [POD]
>< Any My Chemical Romance songs =) [No fan girly shit please]
*Humorous, stupidity, and randomness mixed story. Examples are: Crash!, Dangers of SW, and Yellow Smiley Balloons that I wrote.
*Bring out the issues of hate crimes, animal cruelty, bias of any sort [gender, age, race, etc].
*Write something GOOD about vegetarianism and/or veganism.
I don't want to read stories that I've read already.
I want lots of entries so write, write, write!
P.S. If you're going to write stories on depression, self-injury, and/or suicide, you better write it well and do your fucking research. *cough sensitive topics cough* *cough don't want stupid, myth like info in there cough*.
P.P.S. I don't like labels like "emo" or "prep" so, erm, yeah. Unless you're writing something about labels being stupid, avoid using them.
That's my Shih Tzu, Mocha. His hair is all chopped off now, though. You can write something about him. Don't make fun of him because you won't win =)

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 10, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 175, Silver: 125, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Hey, guys!
I hope you guys haven't forgotten about that one contest you entered up to 4 months ago...
Because I FINALLY judged the contest this evening while eating my dinner and not doing the pile of hw I have to do! =P
66 entries - wow. There were a lot of amazing and beautiful stories! But out of those 66, I could only pick 6 and it was a really tough decision...but I did it!
Gold: Get Bent -- I give this story a gold trophy magna cum laude (with great praise).
Silver: What Colour Are Your Wings? -- Very creative and I loved the responses.
Bronze: From the View of an Animal -- Very good job with this. I wrote a story from the PoV of a n animal but failed miserably.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Although the point values are the same, the order I put this in DOES matter. Think of 1 as being the gold trophy of honorable mentions, 2 silver, and 3 bronze.
1. Little Johnny Blue
2. Your Dancing Feet
3. Porcelain Red
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE, WINNERS AND ALL THOSE WHO ENTERED. I see a lot of potential in a lot of the ones who entered!
I realize that I did not comment all stories. If you would like me to comment yours, please msg me and I'll be glad to.
I had a really fun time reading these entries!

Hehe.
Of course I ripped off your idea for the best friend turn to love thing =P

-
-
Awwwwwh, I was just about to enter "When I Got That Phone Call" for option 3 when I saw that it was you who was doing this contest...
I guess I shouldn't put that story in this, since it's already in another one of your contests. Oh well, maybe I can come up with something new for you..
-
-
Haha, yeah.
I'll copy and paste my previous comment on it, though, if you'd like =P Haha

Woo hoo!

I joined your contest because I love contests and yours is the best one I have seen so far, so ^.^ Yay. Anyway....OMFG!!!!!! A Shih Tzu! He is adorable!!!!!!!!!!! We used to have one, his name was Pooh Bear. I miss him. We had to get rid of him because we moved into apartments.....-cries- Anyway, I will stop rambling on and on!
-
-
Haha.
I've had 2 other Shih Tzu's so far.
Mickey [brown/white]
Lucky [black/white]
Mocha [brown/white]
And they're all boys and small!
Ahh, I'm looking forward to getting a Briar when I get my own place in the future, although I've heard they're hard to train.

-
Yes, I know.
Shameful Emily.
I'm just trying to get as much entries as I can.
And just read a bunch when I get bored during winter break. And if I don't have time then, Spring Break. Haha. Yeah, I don't have a fucking life.
But, hmmm. Yeah, I'm probably annoying those people who have entered a bazillion years ago by now...
-
-
hey
I entered my story (The Nanny .1.) and its kind of a budding relationship between to stranger that willl soon be romance. Does that count? -
-
To be honest with you, I have been keeping this contest up and running for so long that I don't even remember the rules I made up XD
When I take one whole day to read all of the stories entered, I'll be reading the rules beforehand. When I get to yours, I see if it met the criteria or not. But I'm not being strict on this contest as I am on the other one. . .so if it has 40% relevance to one of the topic things, chances are that I'll accept it =)
