I know the US entered WW2 late- but I was giving 1939 as the start of the war (hence "Britain stands alone").
Sorry if that was confusing! -

Hey, guys, no need to argue- I fear I wasn't very clear in my original contest idea, so I'll try to re-explain...
You have an entire war to play with, from 1939 to 1945. Any place- or race, for that matter- on Earth is fine, as long as you set your story in an alternate World War II where dragons are in some way involved.
Sorry to have caused that- carry on with your regular business, folks!

It is a cool word. In Russia there are millions of old folk tales about dragons. But some of them are hard to read and others can't be translated. -
