Just Come and Take a Look

Rules...
1. Try not to include offensive things towards race or religon.
2. Please, readable lettering, minimal swearing, and NO erotica stuff, I am only 13 and will not be able to read your story. Also, I only know English so I would be so very thankful if you kept your poems or stories in that language.
3. Slash is allowed, you judge how much you want to include.
That's all the rules, I guess.

Options...
POETRY~
1. A poem about depression or something so sad it makes me cry.
2. A poem about love, written in a way that makes me cry tears of joy...good luck on that.
3. A poem about murder, betrayal or hatred toward another human being.
4. A poem so whacky and funny that it makes me laugh. It can be about an apple climbing a tree...wierd stuff like that, just an example, I don't recommend it.
Tips: if it flows and has a rhyme scheme...you have a better chance of winning.
STORIES~
1. A story about a vampire, any kind of story, just include a vampire.
2. The best story you've ever written.
3. A story about your favorite celebrity, pure fantasy about how you'd like to meet him/her and how their reaction would be.
4. A story about the man/woman of your dreams meeting you some awkward and funny way.
Tips: adding twists or plots that I hadn't mentioned to an option will earn you two thumbs up! An unexpected ending or wonderful beginning to wrap me in will do the same.
The story options or poem options above can be as long as you wish...just please do not write me a novel.
Have fun!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 18, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 265, Silver: 140, Bronze: 95
  • Final notes:
Okay, this contest was my first and I had a ball judging all of your stories, it's so fun. Now...it was incredibly hard to pick the winners because I hate when I can't give credit to all of you. I believe that, from what I read, everyone has a great imagination or memories in which you write out to humor or entertain others. Good job, really!
Gold: "Kill Her"...the poem was absolutely full to the brim with details and gore.
Silver:"Bittersweet"...I love the way you wrote this, half in poem and half in story.
Bronze: "Writing Fantasy"...great imagination, I loved reading this because it was about a writer discovering and shaping her passion.
    Thank you everyone!
