Interesting Options

this is a very open, creative contest with multiple options. It includes all types of writing: stories, prose, poetry.

option 1: Write anything about the following quote:
"You don't need to suffer to be a poet; adolescence is enough suffering for anyone." - john ciardi

option 2: Write a story or poem based around a Beatles song. Use the lyrics for your plot and please write in the author's note which song you used.

option 3: Write about a love affair that would not be accepted if discovered. for example, family members, teacher-student, an older man and a boy, online relationship, lesbian, gay, transgenders. I would especially like teacher-student ones, those are fairly interesting. you can add erotica or not, it doesn't matter to me.

option 4: Write a poem about your greatest fear, and tell me what the fear is in your author's note. I would prefer fears more complex than spiders, or shots, or such.

option 5: Write a story with an unreliable narrator. For some reason, the character narrating must present the story in a different way than it actually is because of his/her own position or character, but this is not clear to the reader until the end of the story. Just ask me if you want some better examples for this, I will be happy to get you started.

option 6: Write a story where something is going on with characters in a room in which the TV is on, and the sound or images are added to the description and add to the story, yet the characters are totally oblivious to what is going on on the TV.

good luck, and if you have any other good options just ask me because I will probably be happy to let you use them.

Have a wonderful time, I would love to get some interesting pieces. Try to have good spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I will not remove your piece, but I will be too frustrated to focus on your piece, and you will probably not win!

You will have a better chance of winning if you do a new story, but i definitely accept prewrites! Also, brownie points for options 2, 5, and 6. But you can do the other options as well, it doesn't really matter!

Ok, have fun.

yes, I suppose that is fine.
to be honest, I am getting slightly sick of option 4, everyone is doing it and no one has come up with anything all that creative. Go ahead if you would like, but I will be pretty tough. If it's good, that's great and I'll give you props, but I would be a little more interested in your story if you did one of the options that less people have done.
either way, doesn't matter, just try your best
    goodluck!
