Atlantis
The island of legendary myth...or, mythical legend....
There have been MANY theories about what happened to the island.
What's yours?
That's right.... I want a story about the last days of Atlantis. I don't want an essay, or a theory paper, but a story. (and people, if it's about Atlantis, I know it... so don't regurgitate some book or movie for me... this is your chance to go absolutely wild with what could have happened... nothing is impossible!)
Some rules -
1. No fan fiction.
2. No poetry.
3. No chapters, parts or preludes. I want complete stories only, please.
4. No pictures or funky backgrounds, please.
5. Watch your spelling, grammar and sentence structure.
6. Story should be no less than three pages, Arial 11 font(double space between the paragraphs) You don't have to use Arial in the entry...if it looks short, I'll be copying and pasting to Arial 11 to check.
7. Use your imagination!! I cannot stress this one enough!
I edited the date to end on the 24th because it wanted to end at midnight on the 23rd...as in, the beginning of the day, not the end of the day.

Hope to see your entry.
I'm fascinated with Atlantis, and I hope to see some vivid ideas for this. Nothing is taboo for a theory.

wooohoooo!!! done.....my blood and sweat has paid off in the form of an Atlantis Legend!!! yay!!!

This might be a little late for me to enter...but I'm working on a story right this second that may work, so I have to ask. Does it have to be about "Atlantis" as such, or can it be about another sunken city? Put another way, the story I have in mind is about the city that is the source of the Atlantis myth, but Atlantis itself isn't mentioned at all. Would that be allowable?

I'm looking for theories on Atlantis itself, and how others imagined the last days would have been.
