Because tomorrow is Halloween I want horror stories using one of the following prompts.
No prewrites. I don't care if I get zero entries. Everytime there is a horror contest I see the same ones over and over.
One entry says prewrite. It was because of a mistake in uploading. No others will be accepted.
Length should be between 500 and 5000 words no more no less.
No Twilight...or any other fanfic. I probably have not read it and therefore will not get it. Twilight...just sick of hearing about it.
It can have any content as long as it is horror. Blood, guts, sex, death. The darker and more disturbing the better.
Show me we have the next Poe, Matheson, Bloch, or King.
Please make it pertain to the contest. A couple of entries in my last contest made me go "WTF!!" Don't do that.
Bonus points:
1) Psychological horror
2) You are influenced by one of the aforementioned authors.
3) Vampires that do not sparkle, sparkle is a DQ, but are more like the vampires of the 17th century.

- Final notes: I did not get a lot of entries but the ones I got were all wonderful! Thank you for all your effort and sharing your creativity and genius with me and Nick. This contest was really hard to judge, but one just stood out a little more than the others. The others were so close I had to get a third opinion. Me and Nick were at a standoff. Thanks for showing us SW has some true talent!

I'm with Lady Pixie on this one: bookmarked. While horror is a new genre for me, the few friends that read my first horror story liked it, so here's hoping I can come up with something decent for your contest.
