I've made some contests before and well, I've always thought that people have a writer block when I impose them a title. This contest is about anything. It's a contest for everyone, about everything.
Here's what you can write:-
-poems
-short stories
-an important chapter of your story
-descriptions
-random writing
-fanfic
-kids
Also, you may write about anything, here i mean, the genres can be anything - however if it has to be erotica, keep it mild. I accept all entries.
The points involved are quite high and i might increase them. So, I also expect high quality essays from you.
Here are in general, the main requirements of this contest:-
-Good writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
-No sticky caps
-Length of stories or essays should be at least 300 and not more than 3000. (Exceptions can be made if you message me about it)
-Mention about why you have written your essay in the author's notes, how you relate to it and what it seeks to convey.
-More than one entry can be posted. But please don't overdo it and send me tonnes of the same writer. I'll know.
-Prewritten stories are accepted, but well, i do hope you send new ones too... I might give more points for those...
To sum up, I just want a good piece of work that will make me feel what it means to convey and all... Write me the EXTRAORDINARY!
For further information, please contact me...
P.S. Those not winning, earn a HM each

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on June 16, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 700, Silver: 450, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 52 people
- Final notes: Well, well, well... This has been the most difficult task I've undertaken on SW upto now.
I still wonder why I decided to make such a contest.
Actually, my contest was meant for you to give me your best works. I wanted the best works whether they are poems, stories, descriptions... And I must say, I'm really surprised by the talent of each and every.
You might think I may have been unfair on your story, but everything is relative. I've tried to be fair to one and all. So, even if what you've written is not really my cup of tea, I've made my best to be fair in my judgement.
So, even if you sent me your best works, I've had to differentiate between your best works, and the best from the best . What I mean is, there are some among you who are quite experienced with writing and those who have the potential but need more practice .
I've had some trouble with commenting for all. Although I wanted to make a technical assessment of your works, time constraint made me slacken in my task. I've even got some 'cold' messages from some of you because I've not been to your 'standard' and some of you thought I was too harsh in my critics . Whatever, It's best you take these remarks in your stride and grow from them . I just hope you get the general idea from my comments and improve from it.
So, for those wanting to know how I assessed you, I did put many criterias, like your ability to start and end your work nicely and to catch the reader's attention. The specifity of your writing style, spelling, grammar and other such errors, proper use of dialogue... Also, I wanted to know if you read the requirements of the contest when you enter. To my great dismay most of you did not put what I required of you in your author's notes .
Coming to the quality of your works, they are basically all good. The ten first are extremely good as per their different category. The others do not merit less, but as I said, I had to pick the best from the best. Do you realise? 55 entries to choose from!!! So, I though that for all the points I was giving away, the quality had to be impressive. Anyway, to thank you for participating all, I give you a Honorable Mention each.
Those winning the trophies have managed to develop a sound and convincing writing style. I highly recommend you all to read their stories to have an idea of the good work they do. Also, everyone do practise more and more! That'd do you real good!
Thanks again for your patience. I know I am late in judging the contest, but this was really a difficult one.
Thanks again and good luck in your respective lives! You all have the potential!
Regards,
Kenny
