Six Word Memoirs

♥So I am just now learning about six word memoirs in my Language Arts class and I got to thinking that I should make a contest about it. If you don't know what a six word memoir is it's six words that tell a story with meaning to you. This contest isn't very hard you have to write are six words with meaning and then when you're finished with that tell us what it means in your A/N. Here are examples...

"Thank mistletoe. They kissed. I exist!"
"Got the ring, lost the girl..."
"I don't know can explain everything."

The person who invented this made one too
"For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn."
Can you guess what it means?

The Rules!
1. No bashing
2. No StIcKy CaPs PlEaSe!
3. Only six words- not one more, not one less!

I really can't wait to see all the enteries I get. Points will go up if I get a lot of enteries! Have fun and good luck in my contest!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 6
  • Rewards: Gold: 165
  • Final notes:
Finally the contest has ended! Sorry it took me a while for me to judge all these, everyone did an amazing job with their six words! I loved all of your memoirs and if any of you were wondering what the person who invented six word memoirs, his quote means that they bought baby shoes for the baby, but it had died soon after birth. Thanks again for all the entries! I really enjoyed judging this contest!

    Hmm, just on observation on this part of your contest explanation;

"The person who invented this made one too
"For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn."
Can you guess what it means?"

My guess, well really, what I first thought of when I read that line... was the experience of a miscarriage or perhaps a still-born baby.

I think it was about not having had a baby at all, that the relationship never got to the point where she would want to have a baby.

  • "The person who invented this made one too
"For sale: Baby shoes. Never worn." "
Um would this be if the woman had the baby, BUT it was taken away from her, like kidnapped, or something at birth? or would it be that she had a friend she was giving them too but the friends baby died? Or maybe her baby's feet were too big... I dont know!
