Fantasy War story

Ok for this contest I want a fantasy war story. Pretty much anything goes otherwise for what you can write.

Rules:
1.Less than 5000 words

Thats it. I'm lenient and if you do something really crazy or use sticky caps I might even find it enjoyable.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 9
  • Rewards: Gold: 100, Silver: 50, Bronze: 25, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
I actually was impressed with these. The ones that won basically did what I had hoped.
To give specifics for the top 3:

The blood twins seemed very mythic to me. Like a glorious exaggerated tale(like the oddyseus. It seemed like 2 kick but godly beings with little regard for the affairs of ordinary people. It was cool.

Turgon's quest conveyed war as a dance of sorts with grace to be had with its key warriors doing battle. It reminded me of many brilliant movies and games with melee combat.

A soldier reminded me of Halo ODST in a sense. Mainly because it was the reflection upon a battle that had already took place. The soldier was searching for meaning and ultimately found something that was beautiful in a sense, and the ending really fit well.

Anyway I haven't written an end to a contest like that in a long time. Great work people, I made sure to give honorable mentions to everyone who I could and I wish I could give out even more other trophies because some of these were so close.

Hye, my story is 'Grace Underwood and the Lost Sceptre of Reliana. Um, the one I've entered is actually Chapter Three, so if you have time, just skim of the last two chapters in case you get confused.

Well, that's all I had to say. Enjoy!
