Options... or Fantasy!

Okay, this is my first contest on SW. BE NICE.

First, I want to warn you that I am rather picky. You MUST follow my rules, or you are toast. Seriously. Also, if I can't read your story (because the site won't let me), I may have to "remove" it from my contest. Check the comments on the bottom in case yours is like that. Nothing personal! I just can't judge something I can't read!!!

Second, your story must be phenominal. I will not settle for anything less than your best!

Here are your options:
*****
1. Write a story using one of these two characters: Emma Bernard or Jonathan Stoll. They are both teenagers who attend a school for 'gifted' students. How is the character gifted? How did they realize their gift?
*****
2. Write me an amazing romance story. I can't write good romance, so show me what I'm missing out on!
*****
3. Write an epic battle sequence or action piece. I want to be there. I want to feel the emotions of the main character, their instincts. Must be in 3rd person. Not too much gore, though. I don't want to be sick...
*****
4. Begin your story with this paragraph:

"I know I didn't mean it; it just sort of... happened. I hate myself for what I've done, and they hate me, too. I never meant to abandon her, to ruin our friendship. Is there a chance I can save it somehow?"
*****
5. Write me a story from the point of view of a dragon. This isn't just any dragon, though- it's an ice dragon that lives in an Alaskan mountain. A young, teenaged tourist discovers it quite by accident. What happens?
*****
6. Post your awesome fantasy story. It has to be appropriate for me to read, which means it can't have Adult or Erotica content. I want something that'll peak my interest!
*~*~*~*~*~
Now for my LOVELY rules:

1. If your story does not follow any of my options or disobeys my rules, your chances of winning are nonexistent.
2. Minor swearing (non-frequent) is allowed. If every other word is profanity, that's against this rule.
3. No Erotica or Adult stuff.
4. No gay or lesbian stories, please. No offense, but it's hard for me to relate to those kinds of stories.
5. No prewrites unless it's your fantasy story.
6. Make sure your grammar is AWESOME. I love pretty stories with nice punctuation and spelling.
7. Don't bash a religion.
8. No StIcKy CaPs PlEaSe. NO ALL CAPS, EITHER. Why would you bother writing a story LyK DiS?
9. Obey all the above rules, but have fun!

~*NOTE*~ If I see that you've submitted a brand-new story that uses one of my options, you will have a better chance of winning!

I am writing a story about an ice dragon, but it is written in the third person. I know you specifically asked for first, but may I keep it like this, or would you rather I entered it in the fantasy option?

If you already started it, and it's in 3rd person, that's fine. You can enter it in the ice dragon option if you want!

To the writer of Dark Fury

To the author of Dark Fury, I am unable to read your story. I'm only fourteen, and the site won't let me view your piece. I apologize!

Apparently you got to read it.

I don't know why the site restricted you from reading Dark Fury, but apparently you were able to read it before contest end. I don't think there was anything objectionable and it was rated fiction.

So I have a story that fits under options 3 and 6, but it is like 17,000 words. I want to enter this contest, but it is really long, so if you don't want something that long I can write something else. So tell me what you think about the long story, or I can find something else.

I'd rather it wasn't so long, because I might not have time to read it all. I'm a fast reader, but not that fast! If you have something shorter, that'd be great!

    Thanks

Thanks very much for the honorable mention. I really appreciate it. Thanks also for hosting this contest. I am very glad that it went well for you.
