"The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story. And this one, is very good. This one is perfect."

This quote comes from the movie "Secret Window" based on the story "Secret Window, Secret Garden" by Stephen King. While the presence of Johnny Depp in the main role originally drew me to this movie, I have since fallen in love with it because it's a psycological thriller. I love movies, and stories, that stretch my mind and give me goosebumps at the thought of what the human mind can do to a person.

If you haven't seen "Secret Window" (starring Johnny Depp and directed by David Koepp) then I STRONGLY suggest that you do. Or you can read "Secret Window, Secret Garden" (by Stephen King as mentioned above) and you will have a better idea of what I am looking for in this contest.

I want to get chills, I want to wonder if my mind is really playing tricks on me and I want to be scared out of my mind to go to bed alone and in the dark.

I WILL BE ADDING MORE POINTS LATER!

Rules:

1) I don't really want it to be funny. This is a huge diffrence for me because I love to laugh. I just don't think that it's wholly apropriate here. I won't DQ you for a joke, but it had better be well placed and excellently written if you want any chance of winning.

2) I'm open to any and all genres. I don't get offended very easily at all, so no worries there.

3) PLEASE use proper grammar. Double (and triple) check your work for typos and weird sentences. I know that we can't all be perfect, but come as close as you can for this. I will DQ stories that are too sloppy for my tastes.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you are able give me some great reading and have fun as well!

(Any questions? Feel free to message me and I promise that I will get back to you as soon as i possibly can!)

      My story.

Don't let the word count scare you. If you don't like it, don't finish it.

    really?

I read Secret Window Secret Garden and I was so disappointed by the ending. It was so cliched! That's the main "twist" on every other psychological horror movie I've seen (admittedly I see a lot of no-budget bad ones).

But then again, the movie was kinda good and Johnny Depp is friggin hot, no matter what role he plays.

Hmmmm. I guess they even out. *grins*
