Your challenge: write about the supernatural.
That's right, Storywriters. We (myself and iPanda) are looking for a story about ghosts, vampires, angels or demons. Shape shifters, zombies, mediums and faeries - anything that you consider supernatural. Prewrites are allowed, but will be looked upon as a lazy way of entering - keep that in mind.
Before we go any further, let's have the rules. I know you hate them, but they're necessary,
RULES:
1) No erotica or adult content. Neither myself or iPanda can view it, and we wouldn't want to anyway.
2) Min. word count is 200 words, max. word count is 2500. Willing to allow a little leeway here, but don't write us a novel.
3) No bashing of any kind is allowed (religion, sexuality, gender, race, etc.)
4) Your story must revolve around the supernatural.
5) Prewrites are allowed, but fresh writes will be looked upon more favourably.
6) Please put your favourite song in your author's notes as proof that you read the rules.
7) We reserve the right to DQ any entry that is not in compliance with these guidlines. We also reserve the right to close this contest at any time.
A note from iPanda:
I like stories that have real life experiences with the supernatural. Any powers you think you have? Have you had a close encounter with the dead? Seen or talked to a ghost? Write it down

My favourite genre to read about is romance - so if you have a supernatural romance that'll sweep me off my feet, go ahead and enter it. Be warned though - these will be judged more harshly than others. ~ Lí-Lí [Shadow Pixie]

- Final notes: This was a really tough one to judge, even with two judges. Once we'd picked the finalists, it was especially hard to decide who got gold, silver, bronze, etc. The stories that won a trophy really stood out and we really think they deserve their prizes, so well done to all of you.
