Rules are majorly the same as last time! The idea is a bit different, though. What I want you to do is write a cliche, yes, but with broader topics. Take a kind of story where someone would expect one thing, and make it different. One example would be my story, Her Haunted Eyes, which started out as a vampire story.
Now, here are the rules!
1. Bash God all you want. Sick of seeing "No bashing God" on the rule list.
2. Read the REAL rules, which are below.
...
1. nO STicKy cAPs. ThEy ARe AnNoyInG.
2. No chatspeak. And that includes in comments, please. I HATE CHATSPEAK!
3. PLEASE don't enter something over 3000 words long. If you do, I'll still read it, but you may lose points. I don't much enjoy reading enormous stories.
4. This is a SHORT STORY contest, so please don't submit chapters of novels or novellas. Okay? Please? Or, if you must, it should be the first chapter.
5. You should submit stories from the following cliches, and say which it is in our Author's Note.
~
I. Cinderella Story
II. Romeo and Juliet
III. Vampire Story
IV. Good Defeats Evil
V. Misunderstood Teen Commits Suicide
VI. Another Story Where the Mother Dies
~
I wish you all well, and may your muses be bright! Also, I ask that you please read Her Haunted Eyes if you're confused about what I mean by turning a cliched topic into a different story.
