Chiller

Hey everyone! Since my last contest was a bit less than satisfactory, I decided to open a new one, hoping for a great deal more entries than before! So, here goes!

I'm in the mood for something sinister, something creepy, something so frightening that it'll raise goose bumps on my arms and leave me checking behind my shoulder like an on edge psychopath.

In layman's terms, SCARE ME!

I've allowed prewrites , in case any of you demented folk already have a little something up your sleeves.

In the curious circumstance in which you do not already have something in mind, something you are just itching to get onto paper (or in this case, a blank text box) then I have given you a few (vague) ideas which you can mold into the chilling, hair raising story of your choice.

Here they are:

1. Write about a sadistic killer, seeking vengeance for some wrong that has been done to them.
2. Write about killing for love. Whether it be to save love, to retrieve love, or to get rid of love.
3. Write about an obsessed schizophrenic that believes they are assigned to do some brutal task on humanity.
4. Write about someone killing for thier first time. How it feels, how it sounds, how it smells....etc.
5. Write, simply, about what killing means to you.
6. Write about a sadisticly real haunted house in which whomever dares enter, never leaves...

That enough of a variety? Good.

Now, here is the painstakingly drawn out process that is rule-making:

1. Minimum word count:500 Maximum word count:3000
2. No Erotica
3. No bashing. (I.E. God bashing, Lesbian bashing, Gay bashing, etc.)
4. If you swear, please do it tastefully. I do not mind if you curse, just not every other word for crying out loud.
5. Use as much blood, gore, violence as you wish. I'm in that kind of mood.
6. No sexual assault, please. That goes for rape, too. I'm NOT in that kind of mood.
7. Please, please edit your stories! I can handle a few errors here and there, but please don't make my eyes bleed.
8. If I stop reading in the middle of something, that's not good. I have a pretty fair attention span, but I will not continue something if it does not provoke me to finish it.
9. Please, no poetry. Although I'm not sure how you could make a poem 500 words long.....
10. Have fun!

Now, if you would, get to work!

P.S. Currently points are set at Gold: 100 pts Silver: 75 pts Bronze: 50 ptz. Amounts will go up as I see fit, the more entries the higher it will go. How high it reaches depends on the quality of each piece of work.

I'm pretty sure that my story fits this contest, but if not, dispose of it. I tend to be chicken-brained when it comes to obeying the rules...

  • I've never written a murder story before... what the hey? I'll give it a shot

  • Hey there,
Thank you so much for your kind words And also for the bronze shiny... Both are very much appreciated...
    Have a great weekend...
    Take care,
    Fritz...........
