A Complete Story [Beginning/Middle/End] [Critique]

I am in the mood to read a full story. It has to be complete with a beginning, a middle and an end.

I have three options, all with different set of guidelines.

Please follow them carefully if you want a shot at a trophy.

Option I: Fantasy

  • No chapters.
  • No vampires/werewolves.
  • No pirates.

Option II: Crime/Thriller/Mystery

  • No chapters.
  • Whole story should not comprise of killer POV.
  • I love murder, creative robberies etcetra.

Option III: Horror

  • No chapters.
  • No vampires/werewolves.
  • I love creepy and spooky more than gross and gore.

Overall Rules:

  1. Word minimum: 1000 words
  2. Word Maximum: 8000 words
  3. It must consist of a: beginning/middle/end.
  4. I will critique fully and to the best of my ability.
  5. The contest will close after 15 entries or when I see fit.
  6. As I said: no chapters at all.
  7. Erotica and GBLT elements are accepted but NOT as focus of the story [since I ask for something completely unrelated]
  8. If I have commented on the story - DO NOT ENTER.

Good luck every one!

  • Rewards: Gold: 150, Silver: 50, Bronze: 25, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
This was an incredible contest full of stories by some of SW's best authors. I really, really enjoyed reading all of your works - they were original, creative and very well executed!

I apologize for the long delay, I was getting admissions into a new school, got ill - long story -- anyway, I finally read and critiqued all the pieces.

Winners I based on originality, creativity, execution of idea, overall story structure.

Gold goes to SoundInkMusic for her work Questions of Winter - a classic tale indeed. I highly recommend this everyone. It enjoyed it and it was memorable.

Silver goes to Fluff by Tallblondie, another original piece of very high quality and twist in the end I didn't see coming.

Bronze goes to Valkyrie's Flowers for the Sentinel, another classic fantasy story with a satisfying ending.

Honorable Mentions went to Amanda's tragic fantasy/horror piece, Lady Pixie's classic ghost thriller, tonialoise's original tale about a fantastic villain, Red Yarn's wonderful atory about a twisted killer and Andy's mystery story about a good cop gone bad ...

To all the others, you are fantastic writers! Thank you so much for entering!
