So I was talking to one of my friends from a leadership camp I previously attended, and she's come up with an amazing idea. Here it is:
"It's fairly simple. I want anyone who is reading this to write me a letter and in this letter I want them to describe the best moment of their life. I don't care what it was; I want to hear about it. Please feel free to include pictures or drawings or art or anything, and leave the letter completely anonymous.
When I collect enough letters, I want to take the best of them and put them together into a book. It's a concept a lot like Post Secret or Chicken Soup for the Soul, but unlike those this will focus on things undoubtedly positive. I want this to be something uplifting. I want every person who reads this book to smile.
My hope is that, just possibly, a publisher will take interest in this book and want to publish it... and then it will become really popular and I can take the money I make from it to go to Africa and work with non-profit organizations on the prevention of AIDS.

This is a big dream for me and I'm REALLY excited about it but I obviously need all the help I can get. Please, please, PLEASE take the time to sit down and write me a letter about the best moment of your life. I promise you'll feel wonderful and be part of something wonderful."
Your job is to do exactly what she's asking. Sit down and make a list of your favourite memories, and then choose the best one and tell everyone about it. I will read them all, and after the contest is over, I will print off every eligable entry and deliver them to her, without names on them. The point of this is not to be known for what you've written, but to share what you've written with the world.
If you just want to enter this contest for fun, go ahead, but say in your author notes that you don't want the story in the book. That way I'll know not to print it off.
Rules: Well, you know. Short story length, appropriate for all ages, etc. And make it happy! This is the "Best Moment of Your Life."
If you'd like to mail it right to her, ask me for the address. Just remember, it still has to be anonymous, so she will not be doing emails.
