It's a simple enough contest.
I love Greek and Roman mythology, but most of us have heard the stories countless time.
I wanna hear a new twist on the classics. Set them in modern times. You can change the character name, just as long as you keep the basic plot idea.

So like,
it can be modern?
Like, as long as the main idea stays the same,
it can be a completely different story?
I just want to make sure I got this right.
For example, if Romeo and Juliet was rewritten
it could be "Daniel and Rebecca, who fall in love, but because their grandmothers got in an argument, they aren't allowed to see each other, but resort to texting, until finally they decide to kill themselves by jumping from a cliff, but when Rebecca arrives, she thinks Daniel has already jumped... etc. -

It has to be modern, yes. I'd say within the last 50 years.
But it has to be based on a Greek or Roman myth. And with really obvious parallels to that myth.

So not just a huge metaphor?
Great. I love the idea. I work tonight, and have a concert tomorrow, but may enter Sunday. Thanks for the help.

I Got this bookmarked I LOVE Greek and Roman Myths. They're full of twists and turns tring to explain the reason for certain things... thats if you read the full story like how Hercules kill his family and spend the rest of eternity full of guilt or that in order to be lord of gods Zeus fight his father or that Zeus father swallow his off springs in order to stay in control but his mother gave him a stone instead of the baby to swallow but his didn't notice and swallowed... no hesitation.
