Fairly lax contest.
I want you to write me a story (at LEAST 500 words. ) or a poem (at least 150 words) containing the following elements:
• A catholic priest who isn't very good at his job
• A demon with a good nature
• Set in the west
• Set in modern times
• A religious artifact
• An insane angel
• A strong female character
• Use of occult magic
• A supernatural character inspired by the Punk Rock movement
• A hard-boiled detective story (can actually use other characters in place of the detective)
• God as an antagonist
• Three mismatched people on a trip/quest/ on the run in a poorly kept Firebird car.
Use at LEAST 4 of these to create a story. I might add more later, and I'll send messages to update when I do.
I will also likely add more points, depending on participation.
I also might extend the contest, depending on participation.
RULES :
No anime/manga esque stories. This is strictly western based, that means I don't want the main character from Jersey to have a name like 'Kyo Takahashi'. Got it?
Pointless angst will be frowned upon.
If you're familiar with Sandman, Hellblazer, or Dick Tracy... I'm looking for something in those very general veins.

Not to be a smart allic, but what if the character is Japanese American? I mean lots of people have immigrated and it isn't uncommon to find those that have Japanese names but are still from America.

I have to say, the supernatural character inspired by the Punk Rock movement makes me think of Spike, from Buffy. x]

James Marsters does have a Spike moment in which he rocks out to the Sex Pistols. Or someone who sounds VERY similar.
It is 'My Way,' so I thought Sex Pistols, but it was someone else according to my expert buffy friend. x] -

Yes, Spike is a Sex Pistols fan! I remember because his girlfriend burned his records once.. .I just think of Billy Idol because 70's spike looked JUST like him. "He stole the look from me," he says .... But yeah. You can have a spike-like character of awesome if ya wanna enter *nudge*

The best I can do with what I have on hand is three out of four
. I'd find it intriguing to write for this contest, but I haven't the time now and probably won't in the immediate future.

I was going to pass this up since I only have time for prewrites but I'm amazed at how one of my stories nearly fit the criteria. I've got a 900 word story about a strong female character in the west in modern times. Thats three! C'mon, aren't you curious?
