Flash Fiction is a fictional story told beneath the word limit of a 1000 words ( as per standard Ezines )

Wait. No. I said stop -

Do not rush to your little writing pads.

Wait.

Yea.

Sit down. Relax. Drink a cuppa'.

I want metaphors.

I want morals and meanings and hidden depth.

Do not give me some scene. I want a story.

Complete.

Oh. And I like controversy.

Rules

  1. Adhere to site policy.
  2. Erotica/gore is accepted if it is vital to the story.
  3. GBLT is accepted.
  4. Word limit: below 1000 words. [duh-]
  5. Just give me something breathtaking.
  6. Leave me speechless!

And yes. I am very much addicted to Alliterations in my Contest Titles.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 26
  • Rewards: Gold: 100, Silver: 25, Bronze: 10, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
Amazing contest, literally - brevity is the soul of wit! Wonderful entries - I thank every one of you for a spectacular time reading these.

In the end - winners were chosen because of the underlying MESSAGE of their story.

Gold : The Grind [a beautiful, unique take on a soldier wondering WHY he chose his life]

Silver : Five-Twelve [one of the most well-written stories I have encountered - excellent reflection on urban living]

Bronze : Travel the Dream Road [wonderful work thick with metaphor]

    HM's [Not in order!]

Indecision [great message of overcoming your fears]

Summer's Rain [beautiful composition of metaphor]

The Painting [creative and with a twist]

The Darkness Within [over all well-written]

Again, thank you! A wonderful contest!
