I promised a horror contest to someone recently, now here it is. With all light there is a dark side. I want you to reach inside yourself and show me everything dark and horrifying within. Bring me that dark side, make it real and horrific. I have seen some very dark writes in the past so I know many of you are capable. I want tales of romance gone bad, delusional fantasies of murder, rage against humanity accumulating in one final act of brutality, whatever your dark little mind can come up with as long as it involves a brutal murder. Be creative.
Conditions for entering:
Reasonable length between 500 and 5000 words. I am not looking for a novel. Anything more check with me or I will disallow it. As far as content there are no rules or restraints.
If you give me a chapter it should be able to stand alone and make sense. If I have to go hunting for other parts to make sense of it you will be disqualified.
New writes only. So many interesting contests fill up because of prewrites. I often feel coerced to enter a prewrite just because I want a place in a certain contest and it is filling up quickly. It also restrains creativity on the parts of those that would like to do new stories...and it often shows a degree of laziness...or self importance.
Do I need to say if it sparkles it is not dark and it will meet a terrible demise?
All entries will be commented on. I despise entering a contest and not being commented. Often this is the main reaon I have entered. Points will go up if the stories are captivating enough.

I have decided to allow prewrites, but, nothing more than 90 days ago. Which would be...Around the first of April will suffice as long as it fits my criteria.

Apologies for my slow entry...lol!
Just finished a cannibal story that you're going to love (it's REALLY violent, gory, and disturbing so be warned). It also has some erotica in it; so I hope that isn't a problem. Anyways, I'm just fixing up some spelling and grammatical errors but it should be finished by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.
