Today I am creating a contest so that you amazing writers of the dark, horror, morbid, erotic…and so forth genre can help me overcome my fear of ‘The Darkness’ in my writing.
After all this…
I confess that I -Blair Mirth- Writer, and lover of all things dark- Am scared of the dark & frankly it is driving me insane,So I think you guys can help me with this one.
The topic to choose from Are: Darkness - Fear- Sadistic- Serial Killers& Women & Men - Cannibles - You get the point - DARKNESS
[Here are some rules though:]
.Between 500-2000 words - Anything over or less is a no-no
.Must have the theme of being scared etc in, or of the darkness.
.In you’re A/N tell me one thing that scares the shit out of you.
. NO stupidity -Make it realistic please.
.NO Fan-Fiction please
. Prewrites allowed if they are written after June 1
[Brownies:]
.Erotic If you can turn me on you have more chance of winning. Sex sells- It is a proven marketing study.
.Gore = Happy face, and dance
.Intellectual Horror/ Thriller is something that I crave - Think Hannibal or Saw - But do not clone them.
.Gay/Lesbian/Transgender is cool & Very non-cliché so if you can make a story including diversity then you are on a roll.
Scare me- but don’t make me shit my pants- I like nightmares- But I am done with insomnia.
Ideally the winner will be the person who can cover majority of my brownies & follow my rules.

Hi Blair!
I feel like a total bitch for not entering this contest; especially since I asked for it in the first place.
I'm almost finished one story called "Extra Meat." it's a cannibal story that I think you will enjoy. The only problem is that it's not about "the dark" so you might dq it. Satan's Fathers, my cult story, will be polished and ready to be submitted either Saturday or Sunday.
Summer school just gobbles up all my time so I'm trying my best. I warn you though; Satan's Fathers is EXTREMELY disturbing so read at your own risk

Your date restrictions prevent me from entering anything more relevant than my most recent story. I'm a very slow story-writer. I write a lot of serial killer/cannibal stuff, though, so scroll through my archives if you want to look at more.

I don't normally take a walk into my dark side, I walk in the light because, sometimes there is something in the darkness that draws me into it's arms like a lover. I have a character his name is Brad...he's charming and handsome and very well liked but there's something just not right about him. I am considering introducing him to you but, beware once here he might not want to ever leave; he likes dark places...maybe, just a little too much.
