Challenging Challenges [Options]

Challenging Challenges

This contest is all about challenges - I have for you some specific options. Every option is a seperate writing challenge. The challenges shall be short and brief, but they will test your skill and knowledge.

Challenge 1: E-less Poems

Write me a short poem without using a single word with the letter E. It's the peskiest and the most commonly used letter in the English Language, so be very wary - it's sneaky and sly! The poems should not be more than 50 words in length.

Challenge 2: O-less prose

Write a short story without using the letter O. The story should make complete sense and should be more than 50 words and less than 100 words in length.

Challenge 3: A-less Haiku

A Haiku is a small poem with three lines and a 5-7-5 syllable pattern i.e the first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7 syllables and the third as 5 syllables. Write a Haiku but do not use the letter A. The Haiku must follow the 5-7-5 syllable pattern.

Usually, a Haiku describes a single scene in nature. Use words to create visual effect.

Challenge 4: I-less Poem

Write a poem in less than 20 words without using the letter I. The poem must be written about one of the following prompts:

Lasso, Spoon, Pen, Rope, Dagger, Chalk, Tongue, Hammer, Cotton, Bulb, Lamp [Think outside the Box]
