Great Endings(...or just a great story)!

This is my first ever contest, so be kind.
If you have a story that has a great ending, I want to read it! You know, a story that is heart-wrenching until the very end, but then there is some great resolvence (yes, I think I just made that word up). But it doesn't have to be that kind of ending. It could just be an ending that ends with a incredibly clever or wise sentence.
Pretty much, I just want a good story to read.... but it has to have a awesome finish.
Brownie Points:
-I love inspirational stuff.
-I really love historical fiction.
-Music is great, too.

Rules:
1. No erotica. I can't read it, and I don't want to read it.
2. No sticky caps... I don't get why anyone would write a story like that, but I guess I have to say it.
3. I don't want to read a really long story, okay? There are only so many hours to a day. So lets say.... no longer than 2000? I don't care if it's a chapter to a story. But if it is, then make sure I won't be completely confused with what I'm reading.
4. Nothing super depressing. Maybe that limits it a little, but some things I really just can't stand. Just don't make me cringe when I read it.
5. No fanfics. I want it to be original.
6. I like romance, but please, don't go over-board.
7. HAVE FUN!

  • I am not suite sure if Desired Death would be considered 'super depressing' so pull if it out if it is then, I totally get it.

And good luck in your contest!

  • Umm... mine might be considered depressing... It has a pretty happy ending though . Well... It's the one called Brotherly Love and if you don't want to read it or you want to DQ it I completely understand, lol . Hopefully you won't find it too depressing

I apologize, I completely missed where you said you didn't want a long story. I guess Lucky Charm would be considered long. Feel free to remove my entry
