"I might enjoy" feature
This feature allows you to view a list of stories that you might enjoy, based on the categories they're in and how many comments/applause they have.
To access this feature, click "I might Enjoy" from the "My Account" dropdown menu. Once you find this page, you can also click "Authors I'm similar to" along the sidebar to find some new favorites or friends.
"Favorites vs. Friends" feature
In case you haven't noticed, StoryWrite has recently rid itself of friend confirmation, and has instead allowed you to add any user as a favorite. When two users add each other as favorites, they become friends.
To add a favorite, click "Add as favorite" on the sidebar of any user's page. They will recieve a note, and can decide whether or not to add you and make it a friendship.
Emoticons
Because it's difficult to tell when certain emoticons come into existance, I've simply chose some of the more recent, popular emoticons to feature. For a complete list of emoticons, you can click here.

Used to thank someone.

Used to express liking for Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer.

Used to give a 'cookie' usually in return for a good favor.
