The Poet's Challenge - Season I

WHo is the winner!

Season I of the Poet's Challenge was one heck of a ride. The judges included myself and the talented - callthexylophone, a critic of storywrite poetry. From more than 25 people we cut the cuts and brought our main finalists.

It was the battle for the top-spot every two weeks, we saw and analyzed poems of outstanding prowess and those that took the blood and sweat of their creators.

With eliminations, the Grand finale gave us two people.

Delfishie received a gold trophy and 700 points – including winning various contests in the respective Rounds.


Both winner and runner-up will have their poems published in the Ampersand Magazine’s first issue – a new ezine by an Allpoetry Poet Project group.

Round I

~ This was the greatest cut we had. Four people went home, Stanford, Christine, bill and humster. It was a fight for the top spot.



Round II

~ Here we lost the Celtic Bard, one of the most talented poets at metaphor and imagery, a poet that shined, but took one wrong step.



Round III

~ Naila, BlackDragon14 had to leave us in round III, an extremely talented poetess and a work of art herself. Very consistent, and very charming.



Round IV

~ Santas Daughter, the one and only – was sent packing.



The Semi-finals

~ Winner came out to be Delfishie, and elfflower1989 was the runner-up for Season I.
