Round 1 --- Eliminations

4 of the great qualifiers of the Poet's Challenge have to be eliminated.

Who is it?
Round 1 was a test of creativity and originality. The decision was in favor of Aya Uchida, who penned an extremely exquisite piece:

Wet Cement.

Aya, Congratulations. You're safe form being eliminated!

As for the rest of you, the first round is to weed out those who cannot handle the heat, let's see who has to go.

Four of the qualifiers will not make it forward.

Who shall it be?

TheBaronVVV.

You penned a very creative piece, PixelBlush. It lacked some poetic qualities, which are essential for a poet, but it was very creative.

Baron -- with the second highest score, you are safe.

Delfishie.

You blew us away in the qualifiers round. You were the best hands-down, but here you stepped away from your creativity. It almost seemed, we had seen the best of you, and wouldn't get any better.

But your talents are undoubtable and you're also safe.

That leaves, Black Dragon14, KiNNky Angel, The Celtic Bard, elfflower1989, Celeste Stanford, Christine Daae & litolhumster plus bowmore bill.

4 of you have to go.

The Celtic Bard and Black Dragon14. I guess this is not a good bye, because you are also safe!

KiNNky Angel, ClesteStanford and Christine Daae.

One of you is safe....

Two of you, must say goodbye .....

Congratulations KiNNky Angel. You are also safe.

Celeste Stanford and Christine, it pains me, but you are eliminated.

bowmore bill, litolhumster and elfflower1989. One of you is also safe. Who is it?

And the person who is safe is:

elfflower. Congratulations, you went past the lines of the qualifiers in a wild card entry and showed four of the qualifiers your capabilities.

You are safe.

Unfortunately I guess it is a good-bye to these fellow poets:

Christine Daae

Celeste Stanford

litolhumster

&

bowmore bill.

To those that have qualified and made it par the limits, congratulations. Be proud.

Round II will be posted soon.

Prepare yourself.

I saw the post for the column before I saw that I was safe in the contest. Pardon me while I hyperventilate to regain the oxygen that I forfeited while holding my breath...
