Current Song Mood

Songs and me

Songs can trigger moods, and moods can evoke songs......and sometimes you just like a song for no other reason than it sounds good.

Some days may have many songs, while others might have one that spans days....and the selection might span different areas and genres, and repeat on days.

These are my 'song moods' for any certain time. A light and fluffy song could go with a good mood or a bad one. I like all sorts of music, and my taste changes from day to day....but, there will still be the 'standards' in there(I'm a hard rockin' 80's chick at heart).

My plan is to list these, then after a while, look at them, and my writing and see if there are any similarities.....

Links lead to youtube videos. Disclaimers galore, and watch at your own risk.

The little dancing guy is from my 'private' stash. Gold members can use IM SRC to place images in comments, or other places.
< IMG SRC="url of image" > ... no spaces, except for between IMG SRC. I usually upload them to my secondary images, and go from there.

And, I'm trying to get Kevin to add a few more, like the dancing guy.

Ms Barbara, you're showing your/some expossed areas on your defences. Some guy is going to read this and workout exactly what to play and say when they come a calling with ideas. I'm thinking you will be unable to find words to resist. ---- Ha - Thank you.

      I hope so!!!!
And then maybe I'd get to go on a date that doesn't include listening to Gwen Stefani, Fergie, or rap music

If you've clicked on a few, you'd notice that some of the lyrics are a little scary at times. And darn it if I'm not having a tough time trying to think up a song for a day... I have over 2 gigs on my harddrive downloaded, and I can't think of some titles.

      Some girls don't get reckless
      Some girls have no fun
      Some girls never lose control
      Some girls never drink
Or say a nasty word or two..
(But I gotta tell ya), some girls do

    Ah, Mary Hopkins....

What a nostalgic picture the lyrics of "Those Were The Days, my friend, we thought they'd never end, we'd live and love forever and a day...." Or something like that.

Simon & Garfunkel I also know, but none of the other ones.

Was a Disk Jockey for more of my early life had the luxury of playing music on the radio from the Big Band era, through Blues and BeBop and Rock and Roll, with journies into Jazz, Classical and even Country and Western.

Unfortunately that leaves me with hundreds of songs to suit a 'mood' and music can and does soothe the savage beast, does it not?

    regards...

    amicus...

Hair Of the Dog... you'd probably recognize if you heard it.. it's an old song. I had no idea of the title until I actually googled some of the lyrics for it. The others, well.. Poison.. hair band from the 80s that was good, but got lumped in with other glam rockers. Godsmack... I don't like them, just a couple of their songs.

I had these listed on my author page, but I don't like clutter there,a nd it was getting long. And this way, I can look and see if music does influence writing.... or at least thats my excuse for subjecting others to my eclectic taste in music.

Thanks for reading I really must get off my tush and journey to your page. I just have to be able to devote the time to devouring more than a fiew pieces.. I like to make clean sweeps of authors.
