NaNoWriMo

just some random stuff, PLEASE read, i may have questions for you!
Okay. So I've heard vaguely about NaNoWriMo, aka National Novel Writing Month. And then I found a link on Writing.Com (aka WDC..which the user 'angellove' turned me on to) advertising NaNoWriMo. so i've been looking..and it looks like fun! Work, but fun.

So, tell me, all of you:

1) If you've done NaNoWriMo before, what's it like?
2) Do you (whether you've done so before or not) plan to participate in NaNoWriMo?
3) Any tips for if I do plan to do NaNoWriMo?

PLEASE don't delay in commenting with answers and tips!! i want to be registered by like the 2nd week in October...

    1) NaNoWriMo takes a lot of time, cooperation, and perserverance. If you don't feel that you can donate that much of your time in one month, don't do it...which is something a friend of mine did.

    2) I plan to participate again. It's a writer's Christmas, per se.

    3) Any tips? Hmm... well, I participated last year, so it would seem that I would have some advice. Well, for starters: don't worry about editing at first that much; wordiness can sometimes be good in this case; and plan to write at the same time every day, so that your Muse knows where to find you.

    Other than that, HAPPY WRITING.

Yes. Cooperation with yourself, the clock, the words you're writing, the characters--sometimes they all move too fast. Other times, too slow.

I haven't done this before, but it might be a good way to get my novel done.

There's a Nanowrimo group here on SW if you're interested.

It should start getting busy now that it's October.

And there's a more general one you can check out too.
