Storywrite Academy Opening!

Improve your writing techniques, learn something new in a relaxed and fun environment. Click the "learn" tab at the top of the page to join!
The "Learn" tab should now be visible at the top of your page

The original course list has changed a little, that happens when you are being creative; these are the ones that are available now.

A Fool's Guide to Humour.

The Writer's Toolkit.

Beginning Your Novel.

How to make Your Narrative Sing.

Short and Sweet.

Editing and Proofreading.

Writing for Children.

Let's Get Published!

Essays and Articles.

Dynamic Critiquing and Surviving it.

All of these are 'entry level' you don't need any prerequisites to do them. There are more courses being planned as we speak.

Sadly, we can't produce "Scriptwriting" at the moment, but we hope to have it up in the New Year, if not before.

If the course of your choice is full or not available, have a look at another one, they are all very good.

I plan to have 'short courses'(electives) available soon. Later, I shall be starting another thread to find out what electives you would like to be included in the school curriculum. Don't tell me here though, it will just clog up this thread.

The basic construction of each course is the same:

5 Lessons, each with an assignment. You can only go to the next lesson when you have achieved a passing grade in the assignment(homework)you are doing now.

When you have completed each assignment successfully and achieved a passing grade, you will receive a blue student trophy on your front page next to your contest trophies.

The actual trophy takes a little time to appear, so don't worry if it is taking a small amount of time to arrive; it will be there.

Each Assignment(homework) with a passing grade attracts a small point gift from Kevin.

Any questions you have, please enter them below.

Elisabeth,
Director
Storywrite Academy.

I'm interested in joining since I can't really afford to join a writing course so at least I can do this for free. Just one question. What do you look it under? Groups? Contest? Please let me know.

is this for free? or does one have to pay a fee?
(how you do that on the internet I do not know but I thought it better to ask.)

It's free The link is just below and you can see and read a little about each course.

Only join one course please. Later, when our system is fully operational, we may be able to allow students to do two or three at the same time.

      Elisabeth.

Novel and Humour sounds great to me, but I do not know if I would have time to take them due to school and the normal life.

You can learn at your own pace. Choose the course you would really like to do. The teachers are flexible, and if they know that you are really interested in the course, they will work with you.
