I'm an artist/writer trying to get my act together and develop an actual portfolio. A decent resumé would be great too, but let's take things one at a time, hmm?
I figure writing for contests would be a good way to go about things, as they come with prompts and word limits but, for a change, the world won't end if you miss the deadline.
Managed to write 4,000 words for a contest today, gasp. Unfortunately, the world limit was 2,000. Oops. Still, I take that as a very good sign and will be tackling as many contests as I can for the future.
