Would it be possible to require birth dates for writers who are not adult, and voluntary for adults, then give bonus points of 100 points or so as a Birthday gift automatically? This could be seen as incentive and automatically update memberships.

This one has been suggested on AP a few times and on those instances Kevin didn't really react in a supportful manner.
The reality is a date of birth is just as easy to lie about as the current structure and would be harder to track than the current system the mods use to identify and rectify age changers.
You never know though.

I always liked the idea of birthdates...something that could be set once and would update the age of the person by itself...that way, there would *be* no age changers.
You still face the liars but we face them now too. -
Yeah, but if we require truthful birthdates, Storywrite will lose one of its strongest demographics ... women over 25 years of age

*Need hammer to chase Yoshi* "Putting the blame on someone else, are ya? *nono* Silly Yoshi, we know it was you and only you."
*is one that's over 25*

My birthday is Sept. 8th. That should give you plenty of time to forget.

Pretty interesting idea but with all changes it has its pros and cons and most people feel better sticking with the cons they know. -
September 8th ... got it ... What century?
