Ok so i was bored, whats your faviourate mythical creature i know alot of you will say mermaids but mine will probally have to be a phoenix.

I don't like mermaids, actually.
I'd have to go with the phoenix, roc, jackalope, or Banshee.
Dragons are pretty cool, too, but highly overdone nowdays. -
I think that my favorite would have to be the Hippogriff, they aren't used that much in stories that I've read in the past. In fact, the only one Hippogriff that I've read about was in the third Harry Potter book.
Mermaids are okay, but they are too girly for them to be my favorite. -
There aren't a whole lot of mythical creatures that I like... other than the phoenix and dragons. Dragons tend to be pretty versatile - you can make them wise and powerful, or controllable animals.

I would say vampires, but they've been so overdone as of late that I've gotten to really get sick and tired of them. Dragons are pretty awesome, and I like GuitarShank's point on them. They are incredibly versatile. Even in one story, you can have wise ancient dragons and strong warmongering unintelligent ones and everything in between and it works.

I've always had a thing for the werewolves but I'm not sure if I could pick just one. A better question might be 'are you your favorite?'

I have taken that quiz before and it always says I'm a mermaid. I try to sway it to dragons, but appartenly it doesn't do water serpents
So my favorite is Dragons, mermaids and dwarfs

I love dragons (hence my name), but I couldn't do without werewolves or demons- because you can do so much with them as a mythical creature (not neccessarily so as a religious one).
I just love how you can do so many things with any of these creatures. A werewolf could be someone bitten by a monster or an average Joe who goes furry every once in awhile. He could fall to four legs or be a half-man beast.

My first choice would be a Dragon. I have always had a love for these mythical beasts. Vampires and werewolves are cool too.all of which are quite versatile in writing.

My favorites are griffins, dragons, and faeries of the old Celtic variety. I guess faeries can be pretty versatile as well. There are the kind that people used to worship as gods all the way down to Tinkerbell.

I'm going to have to go with Pegasus. The beauty of the horse, the majesty of the eagle (wings). You have to love a creature who can carry you with it into the freedom of the sky.

I'd have to say that elementals (sprites, etc.) are one of my favorite mythical creatures. I'm also highly fond of golems and other earth-related creatures.
