A site I'm not sure has been mentioned

    Querytracker.net

How much?: It's only $25 a year for a paid membership, and you are permitted to join for free (without the frills).

What is it?: A site where you can find agents for your novels.

Why should I care?: I managed to get a hit on me query within a few days. It was only a request for a partial, but it was certainly nice to get my query out to an agent that might be interested, and I think it could help others the same.

What else they got?: Everything from query tracking to agent search and statistics on each agent.

Why has this site remained such a secret?: Not sure.

Will it get me published?: Can't promise that, but it will definitely help increase your odds.
  • cool, thank you!! I'm planning on getting a novel that I've written published and this is going to help tons!

Be sure to visit their forum. In there, you can post your first five pages and your query for peer review. No charge for the forum either, but you do need to create a login.

Everyone over there is real nice and very supportive and helpful.

In a sense ... I come here to get me book together and get it ready, then go there when I am ready to market it.

I just got another nibble on my query today, and yes, I received that lead came from Querytracker, and yes, I wrote that book with the help of the good folks here working hard as my IRs (independant readers).

Good luck chocolate ... and beware ... Yoshi is just as crazy over there as he is over here.
