I'm not sure if any of you have been published in small press magazines, books or webzines or not, but here's what I found.
I usually get four or five rejects on four or five different stories before I get rejected. Since October, I've averaged in getting an acception on October, two in December, and one this January.
You guys have an average rejection rate before you get published? -
Sometimes it's as much as ten(or more), other times I get two published in a row. One time I had something published that I forgot I sent... it took that long to go through all the submissions, and all that.
Do find it different for eZines? Like, they're not as 'picky'(or lack of a better word) than print. -
-
You mean as print, Barbara? Sorry, that confused me.
-
-
Sorry.
I meant do you find online publshers not as picky as those that do actual print? Sometimes I find that since it's not really that hard to change an article online, that they tend to take more chances with posting things.

-
Or, they could be braver to try new talent because they can edit easier online (Yeah... that sounds better
)

Where can I find some of these webzines? Can you list a few of them for me?
-
-
You could search out ezone, online magazines, webzines.... and take a lok through them.
-
Yes. As Barabara said, look for them.
I hope this isn't against the rules, Barbara (as it's linking to publishers) but you can go to www.ralan.com or www.duotrope.com to find publishers.
(If that's against the rules, remove it, Barbara; I don't want to be breaking them.) -
-
That's one of the perks of the publishing board
You can post publishers here for others to see.
-
-
They're not publishers; they just list them, lol.
-
-
If I had clicked, then I would have seen that.
I just thought the 'linking to publishers' was about the two links.
-
-
Oh, lol...
Dun did have a stupid moment.
-
-
-
-
Thanks. I'll check them out.

Ralan is a great site for sci-fi publishers. An awesome link for peddling those hard to move Johnny Astro stories.

(Dun did have a stupid moment.)
Ah, if I could say that my own stupidity only lasted for a moment. Alas, mine often lasts for days or weeks.
