    I've noticed that lots of people on this site put quotes on their pages. I want to know your favorite quotes! I thought I'd start you out with some of mine...

    it's amazing how people try to sound deep and intelligent by quoting people who are trying to sound deep and intelligent. I personally like quotes that are from movies or just funny.

    "Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana." -First I heard say it was Groucho Marx but it could be older.

    I just went and wiki'ed my phrase and it was Benjamin Disraeli who the phrase should be attributed to, Twain just made it popular in the US.

      I think it is good there are so many of us that chose not to take a quote like that seriously. The world is already full of hacks and institutional mediocrity. Why would we want to promote it?

    Some favourites

    I have no real creators for these quotes, but they are funny nevertheless.

    My favourite is already up there!

    Winston Churchill's one about the fanatic
    The other Churchill quote: "Winston you are drunk!" That was Lady Astor and then his reply "In the morning I shall be sober, but you, Madam will still be ugly." (or close to it)
    Another Churchill/ Lady Astor acid exchange was:
    "Winston, if you were my husband, I would poison you!" To which he replied, "Madam, If I were your husband I would drink it!"
