Afraid to share in the joy of publication?

    Hey all,

A lot of the time when I get an acceptance, I'm tempted to share it with my Storywrite brethren, if only because I want to share in the joy of what it feels like to be published. The only problem with this is that, given the rate I submit and get accepted, I'm afraid people would think that I'm being snobby/I'm all that and ignore me because of it.

Are there any other writers here who have this insecurity?

Writers with insecurities? Surely you must be joking. Writers are well-known for their sanity, stability, confidence and humbleness.

I think it's great to know writers who have published who also post here on Storywrite.

I don't envy them at all, nope not even a little bit.

I write for fun and have no interest in publishing, as I make money doing something else and share my stories at will, here and offline.

It's really just a social thing for me, and it's nice knowing published writers who are living.

    TBH

90% of the stuff that gets promoted on here is freEzines or pod, not sure how someone could be envious of a market with no quality control

No quality control? Have you actually been checking these things out?besides I believe the question was about paying publication.

It totally depends. If I brag every time I make a sale to a 4theluv or token pay market? Yeah, that would get pretty dang annoying. If I limit my brags to pro markets, I feel I'm justified in my bragging. :-)
