"National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30."
Members of Storywrite have been enjoying NaNoWriMo for years, and there may be groups dedicated to it (no listing of groups, please... go look them up
).
So, how about it? Who's in? -
I'm in.
This will be my third time.
-
I had no idea this existed. I may have to check it out.
-
I've done it a few times before, but this year I don't think I'll be doing it as I already have a lot of other writing projects on my plate and just recently started writing a new novel not long ago (honestly don't think my brain can function with another one-already have 3 I'm working on
)
But good luck to everyone else who is
-
This is out of my league but good luck to everyone who participates - everyone of you deserve a prize for the effort alone
-
*is in*
-
Oh! Oh! I'm in. I'm in.

I probably won't succeed, but I'm definitely in.
-
I'll be in the too-much-on-my-plate/brain camp. I've been meaning to participate for a few years now but it always seems to be a bad time.
-
I am!
-
I'm just 'cheer squad' and deliver pizzas, tissues and drinks by supersonic Frisbees
-
175 pages on my computer is a lot more than 50,000words! i don't know if i'll have time, though, with the amount of schoolwork i've got this year. i'll try...but i'm quite likely to fail!
-
-
Wolfie, I don't think you will fail - just set your own goals. 50,000 is only a goal for the site.
Every word you write towards your personal goal is a true achievement.
I can always send "FlyingFrisbee" Pizzas to you. Or you can cry on my shoulder a little when it gets tough.
Just remember, I can't do NaNo - but I can still be a part of it. And I don't consider myself a failure.
-
-
I'll try, won't make it but I'll give it a try. Might be the kick in the butt my muse needs to get working again, not like I have anything better to do
.
-
I want to try again so bad but I have 4 partial exams in november and I have a lot to study. Last year I tried writing in english and only got arownd 35,000 by the end of the month. This year I wanted to try in romanian but I don't know if I'll have the time.
-
o__o I wrote 60,000 words last November
. I think I'll enter everything I just rewrote this October.
-
ME, I signed up as soon as they allowed it..LOL Will be my hrmm 4th year and hopefully my 4th win.
LOVE it.
One of my plots (I have 3 so far) is from a short story I did through a class on here.
-
I've just signed up, will be my first time
I'm very busy with work at the moment but have got to try! I'm sure I can manage 2000 words a day.. maybe..
-
I'm feeling uncreative and have no idea what to do for NaNo.
-
My computer recently
, so that puts me off the NoNoWriMo ticket
-
sounds like fun. I'll have to check the site out.
It's just easier for me to write in romanian because I don't have to think about the spelling or grammar and so I can concentrate on the subject.
