    Hey all,

    I figured I'd post the link to the Weird Encylcopedia's article on the unicorn.

    I've become fascinated with them as of late, mostly because of the stunning artwork and the unique descriptions of them. The feet of an antelope, the mane of a lion, etc. They're really amazing fantasy creatures.

    I don't know a whole lot about unicorn literature, but I just thought about writing a 'unicorn' story that actually DID NOT have a fantasy unicorn, but a rhino instead (what is believed to have spawned the unicorn legend.) It'd be a neat twist on the story, but I'm not sure if it's been done or not.

    So here we be. Discuss unicorns and their fantasticalness.

    If you want a story featuring unicorns, try Lord Dunsany's "the King of Elflands Daughter"

    I'll warn you now, Dunsany was a keen sport hunter and a large part of the story involves Orion hunting them.

    I do like unicorns, placed in a story they can make or break the storyline.

    I love unicorns I have a story I thought of with a unicorn in it if you like I can start writing it and put it on here for you to read
    and just so you know the beginning might be a little confusing

    Haha, mine is rather farcical and entirely unserious.

    Also, often it was the narwhal tusk that was passed off in medieval Europe as the horn of a unicorn. Usually cut into several pieces, since the tusk is what, 7 or 8 feet long.

      That'd be awesome to see a unicorn with a horn almost as long as its body. XD

    By the way, apparently "fantasticalness" is a real word.
