What kind of music would you recommend for that kind of story? Music is my inspiration, but I don't know what to listen to. Can anyone help me?

  • Hm... Dave Matthews has a few good ones (especially since his sister and brother-in-law were killed...)

Gravedigger, Bartender, Some Devil, Minarets - just to name a few

Half the people know I'm going to say Apocalyptica... so... I'm going to say "Apocalyptica" ... 'Farewell', or 'Faraway' would be my recommendations. There's a couple good clips on youtube.

Roch Voisine - "A Sad Song Doesn't Care Whose Heart It Breaks".... or something like that... can't recall the exact title.... even his "With These Eyes" is good. It's a 1990 something CD, so I'm not sure what's on youtube.
  • i say go with older jazz, the kind that is always in black and white movies and has a trumpet that just somehow speaks of loss like nina simones voice. jeff buckley. meditation from thais or any romantic era classical music.
  • You people are AMAZING! Thank you so much, everyone here is so helpful!

depends what you're writing about in my opinion. dry your eyes mate by the streets is amazing [his girlfriend is breaking up with him and you can picture it so well] you can let go [dunno who, it's country though] 10,000 miles, winter [Joshua... something i think] i can't think of many right now. i listen to folk whenever i wanna feel sad

At The First Fall Of Snow by the late Hank Williams.
It's an old song, recorded way back in the fifties but I can guarantee it will have you in tears, maybe even as you listen to the lyrics.
