| The shuttle left the space station in orbit around the moon. The trip to Earth would be a short one, but no one knew what awaited them once they arrived. James, a leading scientist, sat in the fifth row, nearest the window. From space, Earth looked like a giant meteor, gray and dented. He had never set foot on the planet. He knew nothing about it except what he'd read in school. "I wonder what it's like down there," he mused silently. | |
| James looked around at the other members of his team. They all seemed to be thinking the same thing. Worry that something more dangerous lurked on the surface and destroyed the scientist. He considered trying to lift their spirits but the mood was too tense. In silence they continued their journey and made their way past where the earth's atmosphere used to exist. "We certainly do have our work cut out for us." James commented. | |

First off, the synopsis and plot of this story. I would like to please request that all additions be serious. I intend this to be more of a story and not just randomness (though I do love random).
Anyway: the story is basically this: Earth is a wasteland. There is nothing left alive on the surface. Humans have moved to a new planet (you decide what it's called).
Over the past several years, humans have been attempting to revive the dead planet. They have teams of researchers and scientists to Earth for this very purpose.
However, the last team vanished without a word. No contact has been made since. The government has sent a new team of scientists with a team of armed soldiers to the planet to discover what happened to the others.
From there, the story is in your hands.
