Vernatia: lol, wrong is the opposite of right, which as they say, is the opposite of left. So does that make wrong the opposite of left?

Manic Black: No. As right has multiple meanings.

Vernatia: but in the context of the multiverse, in which every reality has an opposite, and a similiarity, could it be at all possible that they might be?

Manic Black: No. Left is a direction, and wrong is not, so wrong cannot possibly the opposite direction of left.

Manic Black: By the way, by your logic that would make left and wrong synonyms, not antonyms, as they'd both be the opposite of right.

Vernatia: Logic is overated anyway, lol, but I never said could they be the same, I only asked could they be opposites

Manic Black: But, by no logic, not even yours, could they be opposites.

Vernatia: but as such, left is not just a direction by a past tense action, and "wrong" can be described as a "Future tense verb" in that you "commit wrong"

Vernatia: thus by, my said logic, past and future are opposites, in time

Manic Black: No, because if you use it that way, left is a verb and wrong is a noun, and therefore they cannot possibly be antonyms, for they couldn't possibly even match.

Vernatia: thus as left can be a past tense phrase, and wrong as a future tense phrase, they are opposites

Manic Black: No, left is a verb and wrong is a noun. They've nothing to do with one another.

Vernatia: like I said, they may not be "verbs" cause I'm sucky in the english grammer department, but I do know that Past is the opposite of Future

Manic Black: Logically, that makes no sense.

Vernatia: so in the context of language those two phrases, for use in time statements, are opposites

Manic Black: Just because the words are in those tenses does not mean they embody those tenses, therefore they are not opposites.

Manic Black: They are just in those tenses.

Vernatia: but I never said anything about "exact" opposites" but in one of the bazziliion contexts they may be used in, there is at least one opposite use for them, even if they themselves are not exactly opposites

Vernatia: If you had two paths, Right and Left, the Left is the correct way, and Right is the wrong way, in which case, the Wrong way is the opposite to the Left way, in which case would make Wrong opposite to Left, although Right is the same as Wrong in this context, as Right in the original context would make it left, thus in this context Right is the same as Left, but is also the same are Wrong, which is the opposite to Left
