Hi! My name's Ryan and I have been writing since forever! I have posted mostly short stories and odd chapters on this site for people to, hopefully, make critical comments on and applaud good ideas.

As you can see, I'm English and live in a small village in the North-West of England. I am currently revising a drama that takes most of its setting from my home town. I am hoping to get in touch with a few publishers soon, as I'm now on the eighth revision and am pretty sure I can't do much more to improve it with my own skills. But then...there are always those who would disagree. :)

I am a lover of literature, music and film. A few of my favourites are as follows:

Novels: "The Bone Collector" by Jeffery Deaver, "The Silence of the Lambs" by Thomas Harris, "Twelfth Knight" and "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare (obviously plays), "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum, Any James Patterson.

Music: Aerosmith, Placebo, Killers, Clash, Bob Dylan, Clapton, Kinks, Beatles, Smokie.

Films: Godfather Trilogy, Crash, No Country For Old Men, Michael Clayton, Independence Day, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Vertigo, Psycho, Rope, Shadow of a Doubt, City of God, Wizard of Oz, The Shining, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Departed.

In my spare time I like to (other than writing) play my guitar, play and watch rugby league, go to the cinema, walk my dog (Max the boxer!), go to pubs and bars with my friends and spend hours on end with my amazing girlfriend.

I am currently going through a phase of writing short stories with a twist, so if there are any that I put up that you like, give us a shout (or an IM) and I'll have a look at your stuff too. Hope you get round to reading some of my stuff!!
