I'm an advertising student, double minoring in communications and professional writing. I love almost anything to do with music, theatre, and/or dance! My favorite musical is probably a tie between Evita and Wicked. I've been in Oliver!, Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol (nonmusical), and Phantom. My favorite of these has to be a three-way tie between Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, and Phantom. If you ever want to hear some really interesting theories about Oz and what really went/goes on there, ask me and I'll tell you some crazy stories. (I'm kind of a conspiracy theorist.) I love Flight of the Conchords (band), Michael Buble (singer), and John Lloyd Young (singer/actor - played Frankie Valli in OBC cast of Jersey Boys)!
I don't usually write poetry when I'm happy. I've found that I need to be hurt badly to write the best poetry, so that's kind of awkward sometimes. However, I guess I can say that those hurtful, upsetting situations aren't a total loss because I do get some good poetry out of them. It's kind of funny, because although I write a lot of poetry, I find I have to be in a particular sort of mood to read poetry, however, if anyone ever asks me to read their poetry, I'm always more than happy to do so.
As for stories, I have a wonderful time coming up with plots and themes and characters and all that, but I don't have such a great time actually writing all these things down. It's strange because when I was younger I could write stories quite well - although usually in the form of plays or screenplays. I wonder if that was because of my short attention span. I'm trying harder though, recently. I'm really hoping to get a few good stories out in the next few years (as in, like, book-type stories).
I'm also a lover of art. Art history, art philosophy, art appreciation - all of it! I find that I'm really intrigued by the science that goes along with art and music, but I'm not so fond of trying to understand that science (music theory, etc). I know a lot of people find art museums to be boring, but I could spend hours in one and still not want to leave!
