I. Like. Cake.


I know. It's not relavent to ANYTHING, but I'm just getting that out there. Besides writing and reading, I like to bake cakes and cook. I think that most people who are creative writers, tend to also persue other creative interests. I also make jewelry, sew, and garden. However, reading and writing still hold my top attention slot. I guess that's why I'm here.

It's been a year or so since I last wrote on a daily basis and I am thinking its time to get back to it. I'm hoping that by joining a writer's group, I will be inspired to write SOMETHING every day. Last year, I joined a yahoo group for adult writers and received 2nd place for a story I submitted to a contest. That was pretty great, but it wasn't quite the same thrill as seeing my work in print. Three years ago, I got published in a small local magazine. That was very cool. I haven't done anything recently, and I'm starting to feel a bit lazy. Hopefully, this group will help me jump start my muse and get me working again.

I like to read and write horror and suspense. (but the reality is , I'll read anything with a printed word on it - I LOVE to read) My favorite author is Stephen King. I like other authors also, but he's my all-time fave.

I like music. Led Zep, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, etc. Pink Floyd is a definate fave - I go to the PSC below the Space Needle in Seattle to catch the midnight showing of The Dark Side of the Moon lazer show as often as I can.....



So, I guess that's about it. I can't think of anything more to share right now.

Oh yeah, and I'd be grateful to anyone for suggestions to help me get the most out of this site.
