The words I write come from late night battles between the pen and sleep... (sometimes this means throwing coherency to the wind. we accept this and move on)

I'm quite the musical aficionado--my favourite composer being Jason Robert Brown (Last 5 Years...be still my beating heart). I have this thing for heavy orchestration. It tends to be a problem. Secretly, I am writing a musical... sort of. It gets shelved regularly in favour of more transient projects with tangible end points.

I love Opera... especially I Pagliacci (find it. Recitar! Mentre preso dal delirio makes my world go round)

I cling to realism like a lamprey. I can't help it. No one lives happily ever after with the love of their life free from strife and woe.

I worship at Victor Hugo's literary feet--read Les Miserables (and not the abridged version. Abridgments are for losers with no appreciation for grandiose visions). Even his obscure works are amazing. I apologize for any rambling tangents on architecture, landscape, or political nonsense. They are his doing.

I also beg forgiveness for my British spellings. You'll know it when you see it.
